Mazda CX-5 & CX-30 Earn Important Recognitions
We may not have been getting out and about as much over the past month or two, but having safe, reliable and comfortable transportation is just as important as it ever was. A lot of automobile shopping has moved online (although we here at Schomp Mazda hope to see people in our showroom soon). And that’s made the recommendations of third-party experts even more important.
So, we’re very proud that two models of Mazdas have earned important recognitions.
- The 2020 Mazda CX-30 was named the “Best Compact SUV” in Autotrader’s “12 Best New Car Awards.”
- The 2020 Mazda CX-5 was recognized by Good Housekeeping as the “Best Compact SUV” on its list of “16 Best Family Cars of 2020.”
In the write up explaining why the 2020 Mazda CX-30 was its pick, one of the Autotrader editors summed it all up: “The Mazda CX-30 is just Mazda doing what Mazda does. Clean lines inside and out, good acceleration and an overall vibe that makes you do a double-take on the price. If sporty handling and a premium interior are important to you in a small SUV, get the CX-30.”
Autotrader bills itself as “the most recognized third-party car listings brand … the foremost authority on automotive consumer insights …” In order to make the list of this year’s awardees, Autotrader’s judges had to agree unanimously on each choice. “Every vehicle on this list comes with some unexpected benefit or set of features that change the way you’d think of that car or the brand that it comes from,” they said
Getting More than You Paid for
Good Housekeeping’s editors said, “The CX-5 makes you feel as if you’ve gotten more than you paid for. Its sophisticated modern design and excellent handling make it seem like a timeless high-end vehicle.” They cited the CX-5’s smooth handling, well-designed interior and ample storage space. We’ll add that with its improved turbo engine, the CX-5 is more powerful than ever.
Good Housekeeping, the venerable family publication, worked with the equally venerable automotive publication, Car and Driver to reach its choices for this year’s awards. The editors said they drove more than 5,000 miles and rated the vehicles on safety, value, handling, design and technology, looking at the myriad details – “anything else that improves the driving experience.”
Schomp Mazda on Havana in Aurora is proud that we represent these award-winners. When the time comes for you to shop for a new car – and now is a great time – Autotrader and Good Housekeeping have given you food for thought. We hope to see you soon, either online or in our showroom.
